Founded on 20+ Years of Tier-One Experience
Founded by Adam Thompson and Adam Cox, MechPro Solutions addresses a gap both directors experienced firsthand during their careers leading major projects for industry giants like UGL. Asset owners needed tier-one quality execution without the delays, excessive overheads and distant leadership that came with large contractors.
With over 60 combined years of industry experience, Adam and Adam built a business that delivers the same calibre of work you’d expect from major contractors, with the agility, responsiveness and personal accountability that comes from working directly with experienced owner-operators who stake their reputation on every project.

Adam Thompson
Managing Director
Adam is a proven operations leader with over 20 years of experience managing major projects and outages across Australia and internationally. His extensive background spans maintenance, shutdown management, plant overhauls, and construction across oil refineries, gas plants, power stations, and chemical processing facilities.
Adam’s hands-on leadership sees him working directly on site as the client focal point, enabling immediate decisions and rapid problem-solving. His ability to mentor diverse teams and manage complex turnarounds has been instrumental in MechPro’s success on critical path projects for tier-one clients.
Adam Cox
Managing Director
Adam brings over 20 years of industry-leading experience in petrochemical plant turnarounds, maintenance, and heavy-duty operations across Australia and New Zealand. Specialising in reformers, heat exchangers, boilers, pressure equipment, and recovery boilers, his technical expertise is matched by exceptional leadership and client engagement.
Adam’s background in refinery and power generation maintenance, combined with specialisation in orbital welding technologies, positions him as a recognised leader in executing major outages and projects. His hands-on approach ensures clients receive direct access to senior decision-makers throughout project delivery.
Chris Flannery
Projects Manager
Chris brings 35 years of fabrication and industrial site services experience, with over 25 years in supervision and management roles. As MechPro’s Senior Project Manager, Chris is dedicated to establishing open, honest relationships with clients through robust communication and transparency.
His consultative approach has consistently delivered positive project outcomes that meet and exceed stakeholder expectations. With qualifications including WTIA International Welding Inspector and extensive experience across pressure equipment manufacture for power stations and petrochemical plants, Chris provides the quality assurance expertise and strategic project execution that ensures successful delivery on every engagement.
